Gangues are the coal mining waste with low calorific value and high ash,and are full of difficulties to be combusted in industrial boilers or civil stoves directly. This paper reports the experimen-tal results on the influence of various conditions upon the ignitability and combustion efficiency ofgangue briquettes. The results show that the volatile and combustion efficiency of gangue briquettesvary with furnace temperature and combustion time. When the content of CR additives is 0.3%,thevolatile and combustion efficiency of gangue briquettes are higher than that of without CR additivesobviously. Consequently,the technology of gangue briquettes may convert wastes into useful fuels,save farmlands and reduce pollution. The influential mechanism of CR additives on the combustion ofgangue briquettes has been discussed as well.
