Abstract:
To study the dynamic characteristics of metazooplankton community in Baihua Reservoir, the composition, seasonal succession, community and environmental factors of metazooplankton were analyzed from August 2014 to April 2015 with the non-metric multidimensional scaling measurement (NMDS) and Redundancy analysis (RDA). A total of 41 metazooplankton species were identified, including 28 species of rotifers, 8 species of cladocerans and 5 species of copepod. According to the abundance and occurrence,
Keratella valga,
Keratella cochlearis,
Brachionus angularis,
Trichocerca cylindrical,
Polyarthra remata,
Mesocyclops,
Bosmina longirostris were the dominant species. NMDS measurement demonstrated that seasonal community structure of zooplankton was significant different. The community structure succession was divided into three groups, Group Ⅰ (summer and autumn group, the dominant species were
Keratella cochlearis and
Trichocerca cylindrica, among a total of 8 species), Group Ⅱ (winter group, the main species were
Keratella cochlearis and
Bosmina longirostris, among a total of 7 species), Group Ⅲ (spring group, the dominant species were
Pompholyx sulcata and
Polyarthra remata, among a total of 7 species). RDA analysis illustrated that WT, TP and NO
3--N were the main factors influencing the community structure of metazooplankton in Baihua Reservoir. The results showed that the dominant species of metazooplankton and the size of existing stocks (abundance and biomass), it revealed that the structure of metazooplankton in Baihua Reservoir has significant seasonal differences.
