Abstract:
Glass industry is one of the industries with high energy consumption and carbon emission in China. This study mainly analyzed the carbon emission characteristics of the domestic glass industry, which accounts for more than 30% of the output of the glass industry, and calculated the carbon emissions from 2015 to 2020 using the emission coefficient method. On this basis, the corresponding carbon emission reduction measures were proposed. The results show that the total emissions decreased from 2617.04×10
4 t in 2015 to 2149.95×10
4 t in 2020, and with the technological progress and the promotion of clean fuels, the carbon emissions per unit product decreased continuously. The carbon emissions from the domestic glass industry are mainly generated from fossil fuel combustion and electricity purchase, accounting for 88.75%-92.27% of the total emissions. The decomposition process of raw material carbonate is relatively small, accounting for 7.73%-11.25%. The assessment results indicate that reducing energy consumption in domestic glass production is an important direction to reduce carbon emissions. Adjusting energy structure, improving energy utilization efficiency, and optimizing raw material structure are the main measures to reduce carbon emissions.
