Abstract:
Wet air oxidation(WAO)of high concentration phenol solution was studied in a 1literbatch autoclave under following conditions:initial COD range from 7804 to 87002 mg/L; reactiontemperature from 150℃ to 250℃;oxygen partial pressure from 0.7to 5.0 MPa. Experimental results showed that WAO process was suitable for wide initial concentration range and the organic sub-stances decomposed quickly.Within 30 min. COD removal reached 52.9%-90%and phenol decreased by 86%-99%.The COD removal rate was 0.873 and 0. 244 orders with respect to COD andoxygen partial pressure,respectively. The reaction activation energy was 29.43kJ/mol.
