Abstract:
The principles, characteristics and application of GC/AED in environmental analysis are summarized in this paper. The organochlorine, organophosphorus, organonitrogen and organosulfur pesticides in the surface water at 1μg/L level were analyzed. 25 elements including carbon, sulfur, phosphorus, chlorine and nitrogen may be determined by using AED. Usually several different conventional selective detectors such as electron capture detector (ECD), nitrogen phosphorus detector (NPD), flame photometric detector (FPD) or Hall electrolytic eonduetivity detector are required to detect the heteroatoms in the pesticides mentioned above.
