Abstract: The calculation methods for forecasting the noises from industry, construction and traffic sources were introduced. Some calculating formulae for noise spreading were listed. The models of noise spreading and the factors that resulted in noise attenuation during noise spreading process were discussed briefly. Some examples of forecasting noise from construction and traffic sources illustrated in this paper can serve as references for noise forecasting in China.
