Abstract: A 2 D long distance lagrangian model of sulfur transportation was designed to simulate the source characteristics of acid deposition in Minnan area. The results show that there is obvious seasonal variation of relative contribution (to sulfur deposition) of external source to local source in Minnan area; from the viewpoint of annual average results, sulfur deposition in Minnan area mainly result from long distance transportation of external source.
