Abstract:
A field survey of vertical distribution for gaseous pollutants, cloud water and rain water on different heights in low altitude atmosphere (under 1000m) at Houkeng village in Xiamen area was carried out from March 28 to April 7 in 1993. The results show that, in spring atmosphere at Houkeng village in Xiamen area, the day average concentrations of SO
2, NO
x and O
3 are 0.069, 0.015 and 0.060 mg/m
3 respectively, which are basically up to the Class I of National Air Quality Standards; but the day average concentration of H
2O
2 is 1.70 μg/m
3, which is 5.3 times of that on ground atmosphere and means the high oxidizability and activity; a large part of rain water is acidified, but all of cloud water is acidified and the concentration of NO
-3 in cloud water is high, which explains that acid rain in spring is serious.
