Abstract: Establishment of management information system on wastewater marine disposal in China is on the basis of the achievements in National Scientific Key Project of the Eighth Five-Year Plan. This system which has a clear interface is easy to operate and helpful to make quick decision on management of marine environment. It can be used to index, inquire and follow track of environment condition in the monitoring area for those coastal cities to plan, construct and run the wastewater marine disposal engineering. And it also has the functions of assessment and prediction of marine environment quality and plan of the wastewater marine disposal. By using this system, the concentration field and initial dilutablity near wastewater releasing spot as well as other wastewater releasing parameters can be calculated. This system can play a positive role on supporting local marine environment management and great strategical decision-making.
