Abstract: This paper introduced the current situation of the staffs age structure in 1994.These people came from 106 scientific and research institutions in domestic environmental protection field.With the innovation of personnel system,there came a group of younger academic leaders,but aging is still a serious problem.This paper analyed the reason of non-ideal age structure of staff and gave some constructive advice for changing this situation.
