Abstract: The advance of ecotoxicology in China is introduced in the paper. It includes effects of air pollutants, heavy metals and toxic organic compounds on terrestrial plants; effect of toxic chemicals on terrestrial animals; effects of chemicals and physical stresses on aquatic organisms including fish, shrimp and plankton.
