Abstract: On the base of summary and analysis of status of selection and application of hydraulic retention time and specific power of foreign aerated pond, this paper describes the problems which may occur when foreign relevant parameters are blindly used in the design of domestic aerated ponds. Moreover, the range of hydraulic retention time and specific power is calculated and presented for domestic aerated ponds.
