Abstract:
Scientific decision-making processes include problem identification, objective definition, criteria determination, formulation, analysis, evaluation and optimization of options, and implementation of optimal schemes. Environmental decision-making involves complicated, multivariate, multi-level and multi-objective systematic problems implicating economy, society, resources and environment and requires quantities of information, and a good environmental information system should integrate environmental decision-making processes and information processes. At present in China, the overall planning and management of establishment of environmental information systems network should be strengthened.
