Abstract: Nature reserves are featured by their long history,diversity,multi－level,subject of various courses of study and multi－solution of their courses.The classification of nature relics reserves was studied.①Ancient mankind fossils and activity relics are both “geologic relics” and “ancient products of culture”,which leads to the overlap of responsible units of nature reserves and ancient culture product protection.Possible solutions were proposed taking into account of previous principles;②The position of nature relics reserves in the classification of biodiversity－centered nature reserves was discussed,emphasizing on the historic relationship between ancient and modern organisms and the background significance of geologic relics;③The significance of “life cycle” phenomenon to the classification and management of nature relics reserves was expounded.The detailed suggestions on continuing to build ancient organism relics reserves were also given.
