Abstract: The technology of soil aquifer treatment (SAT) has a good adaptability and feasibility in China. There will be great development of SAT technology in the coming decades. An overview was made upon the history and present state of SAT technology. Issues about laboratory simulation, mechanics study, practical experiences and the optimization of the SAT operation were discussed.
