Abstract: In order to rationally utilize seawater energy for cleaning function, improve environmental quality in the near coastal areas and sustain the economic development in coastal regions,the zoning management characteristic of division of environmental function zone and regionization of the wastewater marine disposal degree for near coastal area in China was studied, on the basis of classical natural zoning theories. Suggestions on implementing zoning management strategy of marine environment in coastal regions of China were then provided.
