Abstract:
Based on the investigation of 49 cities in 1989 and 204 cities in 1996, the assessment of drinking water resource quality was carried out. It is shown that only 48% of 81 surface water resources and 20% of 30 ground water resources can not meet with the restactively in 1989. However, 83.3% of 329 surface water resources and 27.7% of 242 ground water resources can not meet with the standard in 1996. By comparing and analyzing the data of 39 water resources in 20 environmental key protection cities in 1989 and 1996, there has been a decreasing trend of drinking water quality. Finally the countermeasures and suggestions on protecting the environment of drinking water resource is put forward.
