Abstract: Based on the study and monitoring of visibility,vehicle flow rate,vehicle compositions and major air pollutants in Tanyugou highway tunnel and Wutongshan highway tunnel,the major causes of the decrease of visibility in highway tunnels were discussed in detail.Results show that major pollutant that influences visibility is fine particles with smaller diameters.
