Abstract:
A series of poly-aluminum-ferric-silicate-chloride (PAFSC) which has different basicities and n (Al)∶ n (Fe)∶ n (Si)molar ratio have been prepared with AlCl

3,and the species distribution and transformation of iron in PAFSC has been studied by means of Fe-Ferron complexation timed spectrophotometry. The influence of the aging time, preparation method, and n (Al)∶ n (Fe)∶ n (Si)molar ratio has also been examined. The results showed that: with the increasing of aging time and the content of iron and polysilicic acid, the species of iron in PAFSC changes from lower polymer to higher polymer.
