Abstract:
The secondary effluent from Gaobeidian Sewage Treatment Plant was treated with the DGB tertiary process for groundwater recharge.Health risk assessment showed that the cancer risk caused by CCl
4 detected by GC/MS analysis were tiny and could be neglected. In the reclaimed wastewater, the concentrations of heavy metals were lower than the groundwater recharge standard except for Cd and Cr,which exceeded the criteria slightly. The sanitary requirement of reclaimed wastewater can reach the groundwater recharge standard with chlorine disinfections.DGB adsorption combined with soil aquifer treatment (SAT) could remove a part of mutagenicity.Frameshift mutagens were the major residue, which were with rather stong mutagenicity.
