Abstract:
The authors developed a 1-D global carbon cycle model that includes the coupling mechanism of the atmosphere, the ocean and the terrain biosphere, involving two main man-made sources,i.e. the fossil fuel combustion and the land-use change. Results show that there is a good relationship between the simulated and measured values of the temperature, phosphate and total carbon in the ocean;simulated atmospheric CO
2 concentration and
13CO
2 fit the observed values quite well.It was founded that traditional models may overestimated the influence of the CO
2 fertilization effect and underestimated the carbon absorbing ability of the ocean.
