Abstract:
The cultures only containing lignin peroxidase (LiP) or manganese peroxidase (MnP) were obtained by controlling the concentration of Mn
2+ in medium. The single enzyme culture was used to investigate the decoloration conditions and ability of LiP and MnP on dyes. The optimal decoloration condition of Orange Ⅰ by LiP was h
2O
20 15 mmol/L,pH 3.0 and temperature 40 ℃,while it was h
2O
20.15 mmol/L,pH 3 5 and temperature 40 ℃ by MnP.When the effect of concentration and type of dyes were studied under optimal conditions, higher decoloration was obtained when LiP was used.It was concluded that LiP could be applied in higher concentration and wider range of dyes than MnP could, which showed that the decoloration ability of LiP was much higher than that of MnP.
