Abstract: In recent ten years,the isolation and discovery of novel algae-lysing bacteria have extended the research field of aquatic ecosystem and highlighted new biological control possibilities for harmful algae bloom.The latest development of the research on algae-lysing bacteria was briefly reviewed.Emphasis was on the trends in molecular biology and molecular ecology of algae-lysing bacteria.
