Abstract: On the basis of an analysis of the impact of irrigation works on farmland ecosystem in Hetao Irrigation Area,it is found that the cultivation layer of farmland is desalinating and the area of saline land is decreasing.It is thus indicated that the function of farmland ecosystem in Hetao Irrigation Area is enhancing.However,the irrigation area is at the salification status,and there are still threats of secondary salinification.
