Abstract: Though the development of modern biotechnology is not too long,it brings a gleam of dawn to resolve the crisis of survival and development of human beings,and to realize the social sustainable development stratagem.Therefore,it has been focused and paid great attention to. In addition,it makes great threats and serious challenges to the environment on which human beings depend,because of its extensive,potential and long\|term endangers,and its imbalance in development.It not only endangers human environmental safety,but also weakens the basis of sustainable development.The authors,on the basis of analyzing its threats and challenges,study Chinas more serious environmental safeties and pressures when China enters into the WTO,and put forward countermeasures of standardizing modern biotechnologies and promoting sustainable development.
