Abstract: In this study,to achieve nitrogen removal,an intermittent aeration pilot plant was applied to upgrade existing activated sludge system.Through the test,the impacts of C/N ratio on nitrogen removal efficiency and denitrification rate were investigated,and denitrification capacity was discussed to determine the demand of external carbon source.
