Abstract: With the appearance observation and the determination of the contents of Cr,Zn,Pb,Mn,Fe,Cu and S in different ages of needles of Pinus.bungeana Zucc.Ex Endl,the relationship between the elemental contents in needles and the urban air pollution states were studied.According to the results,the elemental contents vary among different regions and years.It is obviously higher in industrial and traffic areas than in the clean control area.In recent years,the contents of SO2 are decreasing,but the metal pollution state still cannot be optimistic.The results basically showed the change of air quality in Beijing in recent years.
