Abstract: Based on the characteristics analysis for chemical management,the authors put forward the principles and framework of technical supporting system for chemical environmental management.The discussion focused on the significance,roles and relationships for five important and main standards and guidelines within the system,i.e.the standard for the testing of chemical,the guidelines for good laboratory practice(GLP),the guidelines for hazard evaluation of new chemical substances,the guideline for risk assessment of existing chemical substances,and existing chemical substance inventory in China.Combining with the advance in the research on the standards and guidelines,the authors also made some suggestions for continual improvement.
