Abstract: As people’s awareness continues to deepen over dialectical relation between poisonousness and non-poisonousness of chemicals and the link between their hazardousness and risks,the concept of risk has been introduced to China’s management over chemicals to gradually influence the manner of the management.The authors raised following points:①Risk assessment management should be given full play to in areas such as the reporting and registration of new chemicals,the registration of new pesticides,the management over existing hazardous chemicals,and the assessment over construction projects concerning chemicals;②Consideration should be taken of in risk assessment China’s biodiversity,the present research level and administration capacity and the manners and degree of exposure to chemicals;③Stress should be laid on the exchange of risk information,and feasible and scientific quality standards should be worked out and implemented.
