Abstract: Based on the analysis of the present status of the international chemical safety management,the authors expounded in detail six important developing trends of chemical safety management in the world,including the expanding and deepening of the system for the international chemical risk assessment,the establishment of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals,the strengthening of the information exchange on the toxic chemicals and their risks,the implementation of the risk reduction plan,the more and more wide spread on strengthening the national chemical management ability relying on international assistances,and the effective forbiddance for the illegal trade in hazard chemicals.The establishment of the international patterns on chemical safety management and the information exchange and cooperation among the countries are the major trends.In addition,there are a great many problems on chemical safety management in China,and the corresponding strategies should be established to improve the management levels.
