Abstract:
The main sources of endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in the marine environment are from inland pollution and shipping sewage. EDCs which involve a variety of chemicals act like natural incretions or as hormonal resistant and have complicated effect mechanisms. The authors focused on advances and effects of EDCs on the morphology, physiology, reproduction and development of some marine invertebrates, such as molluscs, crustaceans, echinoderms and polychaetes, and revealed the serious harm as well as the vacancy in this field. Finally, the important aspects to be studied in the near future were prospected.
