Sorption of NH4+-N by Vermiculite Minerals as a Function of Initial Solution Concentration and Sorbent Quantity

  • 摘要: 测定了给定pH和温度条件下反应平衡时NH4Cl溶液中蛭石的氨氮吸附量.结果显示,平衡时蛭石的氨氮吸附量Qe与溶液起始的氨氮质量浓度C和单位体积溶液的介质用量W的函数关系可用Langmuir方程描述,其等温吸附通式为:Qe=qmCW/qm(Kw+W)+C.式中,单位介质吸附容量qm和介质系数Kw是独立于C和W的常数;qm代表介质对溶质的吸附能力;Kw代表介质与氨氮的亲和力.

     

    Abstract: Tests were conducted to measure the quantity of NH4+-N sorption at equilibrium by vermiculite minerals in NH4Cl solution under constant pH and temperature conditions with objective to providing theoretical argument and as well basic parameters for use of vermiculite to remove NH4+-N in wastewater treatment. Analytical results showed that the relation of NH4+-N sorption quantity by vermiculite minerals at equilibrium Qe with initial solution NH4+-N concentration C and sorbent quantity W can be described using Langmuir equation, with a common thermal sorption form: Qe = qmCW/qm(KW+W) +C. The maximum sorption quantity per unit sorbent qm and the medium coefficient KW are constant terms independent of both C and W, of which qm represents unit medium sorption capacity while KW reflects the affinity of sorbent to NH4+-N.
