Abstract: Based on current supply and demand relationship in the East China power grid, in conjunction with primary energy resources, phase-out plan of power units, planned electricity import into the grid, and overall estimated demand, this paper analyzes the installed capacity of coal-fired plants in the East China power grid in 2005,2010. Subsequently, this paper forecasts the SO2 emission in Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu of the Yantze River Delta.
