Abstract:
The photodegradation of dibutyl phthalate(DBP) in UV/H
2O
2 systems was studied. The results showed that DBP was more effectively degraded by UV/H
2O
2 system than by UV light. The DBP displayed faster degradation rate in neutral medium than in acid or alkali medium. The rate of destruction of DBP increased when increasing concentration of H
2O
2,but the effect decreased at high level of H
2O
2 due to its removal effect to ·OH.The initial mass concentration of DBP presented negative effect to pseudo-first-order reaction kinetics constant of its photodegradation in UV/H
2O
2 system.
