Abstract:
Biological aeration filter(BAF) was combined with chemical coagulation and used for the treatment of wastewater from municipal waste water for the purpose of reuse.The results showed that COD
Cr,SS,NH
4+-N and colority were reduced from 78,11,13 mg/L,and 12 times in influent to 38,3,7 mg/L and 2 times in effluent,respectively,through the treatment of the combined processes.As compared to the single process of BAF,the combined processes were capable of increasing colority removal obviously(by about 50%) and increasing COD
Cr removal efficiency slightly.For the float media of the expand polymerization propylene(EPP),the optimal height of media filled is 1.0 m for SS removal and 2.5 m for COD
Cr removal,respectively,and NH
4+-N removal increases with media height.
