Abstract:
By using self-developed high stretch yarn terylene fiber-ball filtermedia in the treatment of landscape water, the filtering characteristics and effect of correlative factors on filtering performance were studied. The results showed that the effluent turbidity could maintain 3~5 NTU without any coagulantswhen the filtration velocity and the average influent turbidity were 30 m/h and 87.5 NTU, and the filtration cycle of this type filter could reach 16.5 h. When the filtering velocity, influent turbidity and addition of PAFC were 30~50 m/h,50~70 NTU and 12 mg/L, respectively, the effluent turbidity maintained below 1 NTU. At the same time, the filtration cycle was above 6 h, and pollution catching reached as much as 30~45 kg/m
3. It was also found that, when the air and water intensity of back-washing were 25 L/(s·m
2) and 8 L/(s·m
2), the weight of residual sludge was about 4.53% of the filter itself.
