Abstract:
Large amount of odor gases is usually released during the process of municipal solid waste compost. Field experiments were conducted to treat odor gases with biotrickling filters (BTF) and the packing material is ACOF. The adjusting parameters of air flow and circulating liquid were studied. The results show that better purifying effect was achieved under high gas load. The TVOCs and odor unit (OU) removal efficiency could be kept above 70% when the gas velocity is 1 274 m/h and liquid-gas ratio is about 1 L/m
3. The pressure drop of equipment is about 2 150 Pa. The maximum elimination capacity (EC) could reach 130 g/(m
3·h). The pressure drop of BTF keeps relatively steady during the running period and the COD, NH
3-N of circulating liquid are steady and do not appear to accumulate.
