Abstract:
Adsorption behaviors of CFC-11 organic emissions on viscose-based activated carbon fiber (Viscose-Based ACF) were studied in self-made experimental devices using dynamic adsorption experiments with inlet concentration 0.5-8.0 mg/L, superficial gas velocity 0.2 m/s and gas volume flow rate 0.72 m
3/h. The breakthrough curve of adsorption for CFC-11 on the Rayon-based ACF was obtained. Based on the test results, the adsorption capacity of Rayon-based ACF, height of mass transfer zone and bed saturation were calculated to be 0.788 g/g, 0.0772 m and 65.47%, respectively. Adsorption isotherms were fitted by the Freundlich equation. The results showed that when the CFC-11 inlet was between 0.5-8.0 mg/L, the Freundlich equation showed good agreement with the adsorption isotherm.
