Abstract:
In order to understand the characteristics of atmospheric nitrogen deposition in urban environments, observations were carried out in Changchun from September 2008 to September 2009 using the ion exchange resin columns method. The results showed that the monthly average value of atmospheric nitrate nitrogen deposition was 5.33 mg/m
2>/sup>, and that of nitrite nitrogen deposition was 1.67 mg/m2>/sup>. Atmospheric nitrate and nitrite nitrogen deposition had obvious local differences; there were relatively large amounts of deposition around traffic arteries and power plants, which showed the characteristics of point/line source of atmospheric nitrate and nitrite nitrogen depositions. The monthly average value of atmospheric ammonia nitrogen deposition was 3.10 mg/m2>/sup>. The change of atmospheric ammonia nitrogen deposition among monitoring points was obviously smaller than that of atmospheric nitrate and nitrite nitrogen depositions, which showed the characteristics of non-point sources of atmospheric ammonia nitrogen deposition.
