Abstract:
Combining the characteristics of energy saving and emission reduction, an index system for energy saving and emission reduction assessment was built including resources and energy consumption, pollutant emissions, utilization, bio-safety disposal and environmental protection. Taking Fujian Province as a case study, the effects of energy saving and emission reduction were evaluated from 2001 to 2009 using a multi-object decision-making comprehensive evaluation model with each index weight determined by entropy theory. The results indicated that the energy saving and emission reduction performance declined in the sequence of years 2007, 2008, 2006, 2005, 2009, 2004, 2001, 2002 and 2003. Owing to its explicit meanings and simple computational process, this model can evaluate the performance of energy saving and emission reduction both horizontally and vertically, and can be applied to comprehensively evaluate energy saving and emission reduction performance.
