Abstract:
The content of TBBPA (Tetrabromobisphenol-A) in the surface sediment and five different kinds of fish from Erhai Lake was analyzed by UPLC-MS. The analyzed results showed that TBBPA in the surface sediment was in the range of 21.06-52.72ng/g and the average concentration was 37.72ng/g. This indicated that TBBPA concentrations in the surface sediment samples collected from the west, the south and the north were higher than those from the middle and the east, where concentration is greatly affected by the economic development and the human activities. The concentrations of TBBPA in muscle tissues of silver carp (Hypophthalmichthysmolitrix), carp (Cyprinus carpio), crucian (Carassius auratus), white fish (Hemiculter leucisculus) and anchovies (Neosalanx tangkehkeii taihuensis) were 13.53,8.20,8.86,7.55and 10.87ng/g, respectively. No relations between the concentration of TBPPA and the weight and size of fish were found throu the statistical test. In selected fish tissues, the highest concentration of TBPPA, 7.64ng/g, was found in kidney, while the inferior concentrtrations were detected as 7.07and 5.68ng/g in gill and liver, respectively. The was not TBBPA in the spermary and ovary. In summary, the contamination caused by TBBPA in the surface sediment of Erhai Lake was lower, while the situation was similar in fish tissues, compared to other domestic areas.
